In a thrilling encounter, Al Hilal overcame Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr 5-4 in a penalty shootout to claim the Saudi Super Cup title on Friday. The match, which saw Ronaldo score a brace, ended 2-1 in Al Hilal's favor after extra time.
Al Nassr had taken the lead in the match through a penalty converted by Anderson Talisca in the 18th minute. However, Ronaldo leveled the score for Al Hilal in the 24th minute. The Portuguese forward then put his team in front with a stunning goal in the 53rd minute.
Al Hilal fought back and managed to equalize in the 90th minute through a goal from Matheus Pereira. The match went into extra time, but neither team could find a winning goal, forcing the game to be decided by a penalty shootout.
