England beat West Indies by 142 runs in the first one-day international at Derby, with Amy Jones and Sophia Dunkley hitting half-centuries.
Jones, who was named captain for the series against India and victory in Derby on Tuesday, made 55 from 71 balls, while Dunkley hit 52 from 68 deliveries.
The pair shared a second-wicket partnership of 103 as England recovered from the early loss of Lauren Winfield-Hill to post a total of 260 for nine from their 50 overs.
In reply, the West Indies were bowled out for 118 in 32.2 overs, with Anya Shrubsole taking four wickets for 21 runs.
The second match of the series takes place at Leicester on Thursday.
