Olympic medalists Ranomi Kromowidjojo and Ferry Weertman exchanged vows on Saturday, sharing the news on Instagram Sunday. The couple, who met as fellow swimmers, have been dating for several years.
Kromowidjojo, a three-time Olympic medalist, retired from swimming in 2022. She had previously been in a relationship with fellow swimmer Pieter van den Hoogenband. Weertman, also an Olympic medalist, has continued to swim competitively.
In an interview earlier this year, Kromowidjojo said she was struggling to adjust to life after swimming. "I didn't know what to do with all that time," she said. "I was searching for something new."
It seems she has found that new chapter in life with Weertman. Congratulations to the happy couple!
